

Consider to the gap of reality, this study aims to know the implications of contracts with corporate farming toward economy, ecology, and institution to sustainable farming. While the impact of farming contract on the welfare of farmers still leaves a big question about the sustainability of farming in the long run. At the same time there is an urgent need and great hopes to the company's to involve in farming contract. The development of crops bring "strategic burden" to answer the needs of food security and poverty reduction programs. Work productivity of handcrafters has not optimal yet and raw materials of natural dye are more difficult to be obtained. and Morinda citrifolia L., collected from nature. There are two plant species produce natural dye that are mainly used, i.e. Indigofera tinctoria L. Average work volume of handcrafters was 7,91 of thread unit per year and generate income of Rp1.133.122,- per month. Production cost and selling price of the products vary among handcrafters. The business is micro scale industry where labours are from family members.
